Portfolio - Chess Board
Called "The Holden", this chess board was a commission, designed to fold for travel and to store pieces inside. The client likes high contrast (black and white) so I chose to marry a wood bleaching process with an ebonizing process, allowing the wood grain to show through, providing texture and warmth.
